Brigid Nugent – Associate

Brigid has worked for the Co-operative Group for 17 years in their distribution business.
For the majority of that time she has trained staff and management in administrative and
operational IT systems and processes. Most recently she joined the HR department
and worked as a regional trainer delivering management development such as
performance management and team leading. Brigid is familiar with the
requirements of the IiP standard and the importance of a robust training
strategy to support it. Before leaving the Co-operative she was the national
operational manager which enabled her to influence the strategy.

NLP
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) studies the structure of how we think and
experience the world. Clearly, the structure of something so subjective does not
lend itself to precise, statistical formulae but instead leads to models of how these
things work. From these models, techniques for quickly and effectively changing
thoughts, behaviours and beliefs that limit you have been developed.

Using these tools and techniques Brigid is able to use effective communication skills
coupled with years of personal line management experience to help manager realise
their full potential. Coupled with a lifelong love of learning she is enthusiastic and can
adapt delivery to any level of management.
As an NLP practitioner she is able to assist managers realise their full potential.
Brigid has a diploma in learning and development and is a CIPD member.
